Back online
I'm finally back online now. Getting my stuff together, and becoming a scifi geek all at once. So what is the first thing I do with my cable tv and internet? I get addicted to Battlestar Galactica, because I'm cool like that. In two weeks I have watched the first two seasons some of the third season and what's out of the fourth season. I think I need a hobby.

Big Slacker
Okay, it's been a long time since my last post so a lot has happened. I graduated from school and am working as a Massage Therapist in a town near me. I love it, and the 10 minute commute isn't bad. My bosses are awesome. My kid is doing well, she is looking forward to summer (me too). We have a lot of plans. In June we're going to visit family and friends in Michigan. In July I'm getting married. I've got everything but the food taken care of, and it would be gross to get it now:) In August we are thinking of remodeling almost the whole inside of our house. It'll be big project but well worth it.

see relatedSo I'm a slacker for not keeping up. I know. Tomorrow will be my first and last day of work this week due to a sick little peanut. I started school to become a Massage Therapist and all is going well so far. I have learned a lot but have much more to learn. I, of course, will be so sad to leave the large discriminative company I currently work for but I'll have to make due. My schedule will get a lot easier next quarter. Right now I leave home at 6:45 am M-F. M, W, & F I get home at 5:30pm, Tuesday is 6:30 pm, and Thursday is 11:15pm. No wonder I'm crazy.
In all honesty I was crazy before I started school. It may come with parenthood.

see relatedSo I work for a large Pharmacy chain who is now practicing age discrimination. Two very good Pharmacy managers over the age of 50 got bumped out of their stores last week. They worked harder than anyone at these stores and got moved for the "young up and comers program".
Being moved out of managment also comes with a pay cut. I thought they just had it out for single parents with the "fair scheduling program". In this "fair" program single parents have to work a night shift reguardless if they have night daycare so the rest of the staff feels equal. We should all just leave our kids where ever and hope they don't grow up messed up. Yeah!
Since I work for such a wonderful "family oriented" employer I have decided to go back to school. I think I'll start a massage therapy program this summer. I'd rather have to rub stinky feet than to go back to the hell hole, I mean work.
On a happier note I am going to Michigan this weekend. Time to visit the Erin and the Kristin.
